840 West Records

840 West is USC’s first-ever student-run record label. Established in 2020 as an artist service student organization, originally known as Music Industry Connections, 840 West has quickly transformed into a label and a community where creative students on campus can collaborate to help promote, distribute and organize USC musical talent.

Our mission is to help support USC artists by releasing and distributing their music through a partnership deal with Universal Music Group Ingrooves. 840 West is comprised of 5 teams: Creative, PR & Marketing, A&R, Live, and Business Affairs. Within these teams, our E-Board and general members work together to help provide artist services as needed. 840 West is a professional development organization providing internship-level experience transferable to the music industry.
